The supplementary education sector involves a plethora of organizations and companies which all advertise their excellence. However, few of them, if any, highlight their faculty and their achievements. Why? That’s for you to figure out. With us, the story is different. Between the four of us at Vector Institute of Physics, we have been part of academia in the top universities in India and in the United States, both from a teaching and a research perspective. Hailing from world renowned universities, like IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, Jadavpur University, St. Xavier’s (Kolkata), Cornell University, Columbia University, University of California (Davis), and University of Illinois at Chicago, we present structured quality education that is different from the run-of-the-mill institutes in India. While we’ve been presented with many lucrative opportunities abroad, we’re here in Kolkata because of our love for the city.

Our combined passion is for teaching and mentoring, to help the future generations prosper in their academic goals. As part of our education program, we focus on clarifying concepts and effective problem solving, not rote learning. We achieve this by having relatively small batch sizes of 12-15 students, such that the student to teacher ratio is optimal, and we can provide individualized attention to every student in the class. Alongside this, we also conduct regular and comprehensive testing to ensure that the topics, concepts, and problem-solving methods being discussed are getting across to our students.

Our mentoring and career counselling program focuses on finding the optimal career path for our students, given their choices and interests, and guidance in terms of the application process to various colleges and universities. We utilize our extensive knowledge of the academic structure prevalent globally, and our very own collective experiences, to help guide our students. What guarantee do you have that we can provide the services that we claim? Well, each one of us, individually, applied to both premier Indian Universities and US universities (for our Masters, PhDs, postdocs, etc.) – with great success!
